The two-way zipper is the deciding feature
A lower zipper slider gives you another way to adjust the front while seated. It is worth testing if a closed jacket usually gathers at your lap, but it will not correct a body size that is too tight. Practice engaging both sliders before removing the tags. Our assessment is that the feature is most useful when you expect to alternate between standing and desk work while keeping some of the jacket closed.
Thumbholes require a sleeve-length decision
Clarity includes thumbholes, but that detail should not be the sole reason to order a size. Try the sleeves with your arms both relaxed and extended. If using the openings pulls the cuff or shoulder, the overall reach may not suit you. Decide where you expect to use the feature and follow your workplace’s clothing requirements. Thumbholes are a garment detail, not evidence that keeping fabric over the hands is appropriate for every task.
Clarity or Athena? Compare the storage
Clarity lists two front pockets plus a hidden compartment. Athena lists four front compartments and a pen slot, making it the alternative to examine when organization matters more than thumbholes. Do not transfer Clarity’s sleeve details to Athena without checking that model. The Clarity body and rib trim also use different fiber blends. Read each separately if material composition matters; calling the entire jacket a five-percent-spandex garment would obscure what the manufacturer actually specifies.
