Count the compartments accurately
koi describes four pockets as two double front pockets, plus one pen slot. We retain that distinction: the narrow slot is not a fifth general-purpose pocket. Before buying, decide what goes in each compartment and whether a phone will interfere with retrieving a pen. A bungee with a clip may help keep a small attachment connected, but its presence does not establish a load rating or guarantee compatibility with every tool you use.
Adjust the opening before changing the size
The two-way zipper gives you a lower opening option when sitting. Try it alongside the fit through the chest and hips before deciding that a different size is necessary. If the jacket is tight everywhere, adjusting the zipper is not a fit solution.
