Work out when you need the fleece
A fleece layer can be appealing for the journey to work or time spent sitting in a cool room. Think about which of those situations drives the purchase, and whether you expect to remove the jacket once you start moving. We have not temperature-tested the 8309. Its fleece specification helps identify the type of layer, but it does not establish a wind-resistance rating, a safe outdoor temperature range or suitability for every workplace.
The back is longer than the front
Wink’s medium dimensions show a back 1.75 inches longer than the front. That distinction is easy to miss in a front-facing product photograph. Check how a similar length behaves against your chair and whether it covers the scrub top beneath it. Flatlock seams are included in the construction; still assess how the jacket feels across your own shoulders. Carry out the fit check with the front closed, especially if the mock neck will usually stay zipped.
Interior access versus a zipped chest pocket
The 8309 includes two top-loading interior pockets and two deep welt pockets. If keeping a small item behind a zipper is essential, the W123 8355 is a better feature comparison than simply choosing whichever has more pockets. The men’s softshell 8609 is another alternative when adjustable cuffs and its specified exterior are useful. Choose this fleece because you want its material and pocket arrangement, rather than assuming every Layers jacket offers the same details or weather performance.
