Insulation first, pocket count second
This jacket’s defining specification is its polyester bonded fleece body. The manufacturer lists front side-entry pockets, concealed phone storage and a zipped exterior chest pocket; it does not make those details a reason to overload the garment. If you already use cargo scrub trousers for equipment, consider reserving jacket storage for the few things that should travel with you when the layer comes off.
A practical fitting sequence
Close the jacket over your normal uniform, sit down, then reach forward as if using a workstation. Check the neckline with the zip at the height you prefer, rather than testing only with it open. Finally, add the phone you actually carry. The fit should remain comfortable without relying on the front being unzipped. This sequence is particularly useful when comparing a structured fleece with a thinner scrub-fabric jacket.
Alternatives for a different problem
Choose the C86310 lightweight jacket if your priority is a back vent and internal stethoscope storage. The C86210 is worth examining when you prefer a snap-front shirt silhouette. Carhartt describes a water-repellent treatment on the C80023; do not read that as a waterproof rating or a substitute for workplace-required protective clothing.
