Why the shirt shape matters
Wink specifies a 30.5-inch length for medium and a modern fit. Those numbers help frame a comparison, but they do not tell you where the hem will land on your body. Measure a familiar jacket from the same starting point before comparing. For seated work, check whether the lower front bunches against your lap or whether the bottom snap pulls when you reach.
Snaps and useful storage
The model has knit collar and cuffs, micro-ripstop stretch fabric, a chest pocket with pen storage and internal loops, and oversized lower pockets with an internal phone compartment. This arrangement can suit a buyer who wants open, easily reached storage. It is less directly suited to someone whose main requirement is a closed security pocket. Make that distinction before deciding that all Carhartt scrub jackets offer the same functions.
The trade-off against the zip models
Compare C86310 for a collared zip, back vent and internal stethoscope pocket, or C80023 for fleece construction. The shirt jacket fills a separate role: a removable uniform layer with a longer visual line. During the try-on, fasten every snap, raise your arms, then lift a lightly loaded pocket. If the front gaps or pulls, reassess the size. Do not compensate for a poor fit by planning to wear it permanently open.
